RAVE'N RACIN RESULTS and Next Map

           This week was Race #2,the final race on the SU base map,Next week will be a practice on the next map,the GB base map. The next map will be harder than this one because you have buildings and stacks to fly thru and on top of that you have 2 SU bases that will be shooting at you if you get above 30ft when flying down the runways. We will be practicing thru out next weeks time slot but if all feel comfortable in the last half we may have a mini practice race. Come one,Come all,Join the fun. I will post the Rules,Map of course and Course instructions below for the GB base map.
        We had a good turn out this week with 16 racers showing up to test their skills. There was a question on the rules about a pit stop being mandatory and upon reviewing the rules it states that a "Pit stop may be needed" making it a non-mandatory item. Some planes can make it on one tank of fuel and others can not. Another question arose on one of the racers not going thru one of the sets of stacks and upon reviewing the recording we have determined that first the in game recording quality is to poor to be relied on so secondly after reading the log a close by racer stated that the racer in question did go thru so we will let the points stand. We will however be paying closer attention to this in the future with more difficult maps coming. If a person misses a checkpoint the rules state they must crash and restart that lap. There is a correction to my statement about the racer missing the stacks. Upon reviewing a film using Fraps I discovered Marshall The Kid asking the racer in question if he missed the stacks and he replied "Yeah m8",a confession I can not ignore. The changes in the standings are in blue.
        It was a close race today with the top 5 spots changing thru out the whole race and many crashes. GreyGoose sadly couldn't make it this week to defend his championship so he slipped back into 3rd place in the overall standings bringing Ognat into 1st and Buckwheat into 2nd. It was an awesome race and I thank all that attended,Great Job All.

    Here are the Rules,Map Course and Map for the next 3 weeks,next week being a practice on it and the following 2 to be Point Races on it. Be Ready Racers!  3:30-5:00 pm EST,8:30-10:00 pm GMT

                GB base Race Course Route
1 Start at the GB base at AH 30 and turn right after last building on right
2 Fly west and down SU runway at AD 30
3 Fly northwest and go between the stacks at AB 28
4 Fly northeast and down the SU runway at AD 26
5 Continue east over GB base at AH 26
6 Fly thru the building at AJ 26
7 Fly between the stacks at AK 27 and head south
8 Fly to the left of the camp at AK 28 and thru the building
9 Fly southwest and thru the building at AI 29
10 Turn south and cross the finish line at AH 30

                GB base Race Course Rules
1 Start at GB base,All planes are available
2 NO SHOOTING
3 AA is on,be careful
4 Race is 4 laps long
5 Fuel is limited,you may need a pit stop
6 Pit stop at pilots discretion
7 All stacks or buildings shall be flown thru or forfeit lap
8 If you crash on take off,take off again
9 If you crash during a lap,that lap must be started over
10 If you crash during a lap,all previously completed laps remain in affect
11 A lap is completed when passing the HQ building at start/finish line without crashing
12 1st 5 pilots to successfully complete 4 laps are the winners
13 Points for the top 5 positions will be as follows; 1st=10,2nd=8,3rd=6,4th=4,5th=2
14 Everyone that enters the race gets 1 point,including the top 5 positions
15 Spectators are allowed but they SHALL NOT block the runway,shoot or otherwise interfere with the racers
16 Air Marshal's that are also racers, when not racing will get 4 points for Marshalling,plus the 1 point for entering  race

lol no but you guys got a lucky break, got stranded for a day ill be back next week to take the win, gl all next week, nice to see im still in third only about 7 points behind
