Leave the matter of "Iframes" to the Webmaster .. that is why we have him.
How many of the voting members are truly qualified to address this matter? 1 of five votes tops? I would advise all .. to take the input of the webmaster and NOT to make this a matter of a "vote".
How the site looks, feels and appears is a totally different matter.. we simply tell the webmaster what we want.. or don't want .. and he will make it so.

Why busy up an agenda for a discussion on this. If you want more BBC code .. simply tell the FM and he will make it so if possible on this setup.
BBC code for embedding movies etc would be nice .. if you want it / feel a need for it a simple post to the FM should do the trick. Should the FM need assistance from the Webmaster .. I'm sure that will happen as well.

I agree with Tbar. The webmaster, Forum Manager, League Master etc shouldn't have to run to the BOD with every little technical detail. Let them get on with the job as long as what they do is within the scope of the functions delegated to them by the BOD. I assume that's why the BOD appointed them.

I disagree,
There has been a lot of confusion on navigating the site.I will bring it up at the BOD.
It needs addressed. Also the BB codes can be a security issue.I will address this also.

creeping away holding my bloody nose :'(
I thought bbcode was developed to overcome the ways in which html could be used to mount site attacks but Kid knows a lot more about that stuff than I do so I bow to his superior knowledge. I was just assuming that the webmaster would have the technical knowledge to best know how far to go with it without creating a security risk.
As for iframes etc that's admittedly way over my head but I thought it boiled down to what was most friendly to the user community. I know some want this and some want that but I think what Firestorm and Kid have given us already is a great compromise.
Anyway I bow out...I only work here :-[

I'm confused .. are we talking about a BoD agenda item of "Iframes"??
Is this a meeting of IP Techies? We have a Webmaster, I yield to his input and advise .. otherwise lets get rid of him :)
Confusion about navigating the site is a whole different matter.
The site seems basic and simple to navigate to me... however I certainly would yield on the point of the options for opening the forums...
RE Forums: Frames opening within frames and multiple windows opening is simply a matter of naming the windows and putting in the proper targets. I do concede that this can be confusing. I know Fire has been sick and can easily fix this, frankly I thought it would be fixed by now. It seems that it was more important to have a 'chat' feature...
Are we talking a BoD agenda about BB Codes?
I'm confused why an agenda item? If the folks want some BB Code.. submit to the FM/Webmaster for advise and evaluation. BB Code that would allow unsanitary html is a basic NO NO .. they would know this. I can't imagine any BB Code being requested above the basics of inserting a movie/utube type of thing. If we really 'get down to it'.. any BBC that allows linking of any type off site .. is a security issue in my mind. Anything using javascript can be considered a security issue .. yes?
Anyway my point was there are qualified people that can make these decisions/corrections and that is why we have those people looking after our interests.
The BoD meetings are PUBLIC .. and discussing any vulnerability, shortcoming, weakness within the site, forums , etc .. is probably not a wise idea as a open topic.
I think.. there must be more to the concerns of Mr Kid than meets they eye, and/or obviously I've missed something .. so I too bow out at this point... and I don't even work here :)

All BBC codes that this site allows are activated and have been activated since this site opened.
If there are others that would like to be added then I would not add them and believe if the site came with added BBC's then the site program felt it was safe enough to do so.

I concur, it was more important to have a "chat" feature:)
Another feature that the community can use who do not use MSN, AOL, ect. Instant Messenger.
The Iframe discussion is a little more intense to sort out for the community then a little ol chat block, don't you think?

I've requested Joker to remove iframe item off the agenda.I will talk directly with Firestorm about it.No need for anyone else to be involved with my concerns.
As too the BBCode issue.I'll leave it alone also.Hawk has answered that here and it was Hippo's request, not mine.
I won't request any Agenda items ever again....Kid out

Hawk did not adress the BBC issue CheckM8 did:)
Now why aren't you able to request a Agenda item when you want to, I don't understand.

Fair enough answere for me but some are voicing there opinions and should not let it get to you, a 5 min. discussion about the Iframe isn't asking to much and not time consumming on the Agenda no matter who don't approve.:)

BBCode is not an unsafe code, it is the safest code there is.
And the reason why the program only has certain BBcode is because that is the basic program for setup, like any program it comes basic and you can choose to add more features and/or functions.
I really dont see what the fuss is about what is discussed at the BOD, you can spend 1minute or 20minutes on an item, or you could say the Agenda is full but that request will be added to the next BOD. Arguing about items prior to the BOD meeting will only lead to arguing at the BOD. So to save the meeting from turning into a stone throwing session, I hereby retract my notion regarding BBCode.
