Wow...............I met Steve at Hono's Home in 2008 and we had a blast......talk to him on the phone and always on teamspeak (will never forget that voice)...........I tried calling him 2 weeks ago and left a message and never got a return call.........He had just gotten off the phone with Hono and Hono called me and told me he didn't sound good and for me to call him...........Damn It!................ "Smokem up for me boys, Ill killem"  he said that alot.....................unreal......I was on the phone with Hono the night he was called from Steves wife and told me the news and I couldn't believe it........I will miss that voice....kindness....laughter.....and the love of the game that came from his voice.....I will truly miss you my friend....

I can't believe it.
First I saw it on WS forums and my first thought was "what a bad joke", than found by accident the same topic at UK forums and now here.
I'm somehow out of words about this great loss.

Blue Skies Hawk, your truly missed.
My condolences to his family and friends.

I just found out. RL has kept me away from the game for longer than I care to count.

I cried for at least 15 minutes. Steve was a good friend and a tough advesary at the same time. He like me, let ya know what was on his mind.

Hawk and I stood side by side as well as confronted each other when called for. During our active time with the USAAC community he underwent treatments for his condition that would take everything out of him. Yet he would still show for the USAAC and the air attack community and debate for what he believed in. He was a good guy who went through alot in his life. I am blessed to have been a friend and talk about various of our ailments and life's funny moments as well.

Yesterday I was thrilled to get a little time in the game.

Today I am crushed as many of you.

God Speed Bro.
