    I have a question about running AA on Windows 7 and new pc. I just bought an HP P-6616f-b with an HP 2010i monitor. I loaded AA ok,no problems by just following the directions. I am able to go all the way into the game with no problems except my view. The view is expanded so that I am missing the top row of the HUD. The game runs in 640x480 res. but my monitor doesn't go that low. It's range is; 800x600-1600x900. I have all the files that need to be,set at Win xp compatible and run as admin.
  When I go to the AA file;Properties;Compatibility it has a settings section that reads;
     Run in 256 colors
     Run in 640x480 screen resolution
     Disable visual themes
     Disable desktop composition
     Disable display scaling on high DPI settings
  Now should I be checking one of these boxes and if so which one? I tried the 640x480 one and nothing changed. My other monitor had a gaming mode but this one does not. Is there a special trick to make this work properly?
Any help will be greatly appreciated(10 free kills on Bonzy for the solution),heh,heh.

I'm using Win 7 and my monitor also has 800x600 as the lowest setting.But I have no problems with the game.

There is a setting in the game under GRAPHICS that lets you adjust and center the screen.That may be your solution.

Same OS here m8,if you have a wide screen you will have black on each side. If the picture is too small then adjust it in game options and then while in the game adjust monitor using the Auto Adjust function if your monitor has it,if not do it manually but you will still have a bit of a black border on each side. When you were seeing it full screen you probably didn't notice that your picture was stretched and the top and bottom were missing a bit. Hope this helps m8.

Are you using an HDMI (HD) cable? I had that problem and switched to a DVI cable ... you may need an adaptor ?
Hope this helps ... GL with it

cc sounds like your in H/D mode compression is visible rrrrrr borders / do you have two modes on monitor digital and analog ? make sure that it is in  digital mode If you are unable to view desktop in that mode desktop can be extended through software usualy nivida by right clicking desktop, you should see graphic software and display properties wich is the same as  personalize The display is best  you can set display to 1680x1050

modem thanks for the ideas, I am running a acer flat screen and acer computer with nvidia 9200 graphics card, I have downloaded all nividia upgrades, looked in my monitor settings and cant find anything that makes any changes in the game itself, the rest of the computer programs work fine. the default or native display is 1920x1080, when i switched to 1680x1050 the letters you are reading and on the computer were blurry, so im back at the native display setting. the game worked perfect for awhile and i can still play, should i consider uninstalling the game and reinstalling it as another option. thanks M8.

The only place to change native is in Nvidia Properties /Change Resolution  and in Personalize / Display Settings Advance. Make shure that both are set to same settings in both display modes being Digital and Analog this is only available if you have two cables from monitor to video card both of these settings are available by right clicking desktop

ok, the monitor is analog as is the display properties settings. im stumped sir. it seems somewhere in my 750.00 desktop computer i bought just to be able to play the game at home on the big screen as opposed to my 17" laptop which i use whenever im not at home, is readjusted to not play the game in full screen, ive tried in game settings,etc. this computer otherwise is great for what i use it for, thanks modem for letting me vent.
