Is there any way to change your homepage theme so that it fills the browser window widthways?

Heres a few screenshots to illustrate my point:

on both the US Forums, and the UKAA site, the theme will expand to fill my browser window:

However, your homepage leaves me looking at a postage stamp:

Just an observation ;-)

Hi Animal,

We designed the site around the internet standard which is 1024x768. There is a great percentage of guys especially in AA that have older monitors, graphics cards  and their screen res in nowhere near the size of yours.

Personally I have a larger screen res too, but we need to go with the internet standard rather then individuals.

Hope this helps mate.

Firestorm, I understand why you would target 1024x768, but was pointing out the anomaly between the forums and the homepage - one resizes to larger monitor sizes, the other doesn't.

Just struck me as a bit odd, thats all :)

I think it has to do with the front page having certain text, script, and blocks ( video block and the clock block and the images in certain blocks) and the forums only having sigs..

I personally dont see it as a problem or a hassle that you need to shift over a bit to the right to see the entire contents on the front page.  I even have to shift over in a message reply to see the top right corner that has the (you have 0 messages, and the time and date block).  Its all personal preference I think, but that is my input.

PS: I have a very old monitor.  Tongue
