Pilots rights with a suspention?
«

Is this all a pilot gets when they are suspended?
Quote
Ref. 2 day suspension
you were reported for deliberately crashing in AA to avoid being killed.
The tape clearly shows this to be the case and you leave me no option but to suspend you for 2 days for blatantly violating the coc.
sysops
A pilot is not asked what went on or even notified with a warning or shown a tape or some crap. How the heck is a pilot supposed to know what they are suspended for if they have no recollection of it?
This other Pm did not help any either.
Quote
You were suspended by
You have been suspended however your suspension has been postponed until you next join
the arena
. The next time you join the arena your suspension will begin. The suspension was placed by for 2880 minutes.
Is it Arena or Arenas, I have no clue where this supposedly happened, for all I know it could have been an arena I created.

It's Arenas..plural.
I have checked the logs and viewed the film myself.. I'm surprised you have no recollection of it but no matter. If you want to see the film I will send it to you. As for not understanding why you have been given a ban the PM seems fairly straight forward and simple.. quote. "you were reported for deliberately crashing in AA to avoid being killed. The tape clearly shows this to be the case".
I do think however that the sysops responsible for the ban should have made it clear who they where so I will deal with this. If anyone ever disagrees with a ban within the report pilot to sysops section you can also report a sysops so it seems reasonable that you should know who it is.
If you have any further questions please feel free to pm me.

I know who they are, I deleted their names from the PMs that are quoted, their names have no relevance to the threads question.
Yes, I want the film and would still like to know what rights a pilot has in these matters.

Just To Clarify:
1) It was worded wrong. You did not crash, you fired your guns after you ran to the base so that AA got the kill vs. the pilot chasing you. This is a clear violation under the CoC:
Arena specific:
public FFA:
- No teaming in FFA ( don't work together to kill others, don't avoid killing 'mates' on purpose)
- Do not shoot at other planes while you are on the runway (while parking or taxiing)
- No AA suicide on purpose
2) For those who do not know, FYI, I was not the Sysops who put the suspension on you. I did however look at the film and concured with the Sysops decision.
3) As for a pilots recourse, you do have the option of asking for the penalty to be lifted or shortened based on another Sysops/Admins view on the matter. This is not a dictatorship. you can have your day in "court" so to speak.
4) Good for you to be discreet by not naming the Sysops.
5) The wording should be altered in the notice sent to you. It should read that the next time you enter any arena your suspension will begin.
Cheers all.....

Well, I will wait to see the tape to make my own decision on how I should feel on the matter.
By then my day in court will be over I guess, since I would have already served the full suspension.

It took me a while to figure out what you are talking about. Send yourself a PM, you'll figure it out too. :)

Nope, I only typed "film". The subject line is repeated in the message body, in bold, by the PM system.
Let me know if you need any more help using the intardweb.

Maybe a picture would help. Or a drawing. A schematic perhaps.
