1.Squads

Hi Guys. Due to a recent forum I put up about a possible merger. I belive it is time to revise the USAAC Charter.
I think the rule of only being able be in USAAC Squad is an outdated one. Maybe back in the hay day of Air Attack it made sense when squads had loads of pilots but these days pilots are hard to come by and squads are beginning to miss out on leagues as they can not meet the minimum amount of pilots. I think it needs to be removed as pilots may want to belong to more than one squad.

Any squad wishing to be a member of USAAC should apply to the Administrator. In order to gain registration a squad must:
•   Have been registered on the Central Launch Site for at least 60 days prior to seeking registration with USAAC.
•   Have at least 8 pilots listed as squad members on the Central Launch Site.
•   No pilot may be a member of more than one USAAC registered squad at any one time.
In order for a squad to be registered it must be approved by a majority vote of existing USAAC members. Following registration there will be a 90 day probation period during which the squad will not have a vote at USAAC meetings.

•   The CO of each registered squad must notify the Administrator of who will be representing the squad in all USAAC proceedings. Two people who will be known as first and second voice for that squad may be nominated. Only one of these representatives will have a vote at meetings or in any USAAC decision making process. It will be the responsibility of each squad CO to notify the Administrator of changes in representation.

This would open another can of worms Jerry and with the guest pilot rule I see no need for a change. If you would like to guest pilot for a squad and keep your own squad nick you could just as an example; [RAVEN]_AA_Luke_GP . I see no need to be a member of two squads at once,it would just bring more problems to the game.  Cool

I agree with Bonzy on this. There is no need to revise as you will only be a guest pilot flying in 4sqd with some sqd already in it.

As for the example of the tag, that is not acceptable if more than 1 AA joins a sqd because the first 10 character have to be unique. I thik if you just use whatever sqd you guest with's team tag ( [TKFM] or Tigers ) then you name after ( [TKFM]Luke ) then you will be fine.

Air Assassins  problem is the fact the squad could not get along and split into two squads. One squad is flying in four Sq. Main problem, you are having is the number of squads, not the number of people.

You being C/O need to take responsibility/accountability for what happened. If you care about the pilots as much as you say you do, then help those pilots find a home that fits them and stop worrying about the C/O.

Do not need the entire story to criticize a C/O of a squadron when he is asking others to change crap so he can get "his" way.

Tac I think you are way out of order. I am not asking for it to be changed what I am asking is how people feel about it. The reason I was asking is because I was considering taking raven up on their offer. Raven and AA are both USAAC squads. Now if you look at the above rule it would have caused an issue.

Yeah take it easy Tac as your attitude is a little over the top. Unless you are engaged in the negotiations between the two squads involved, I think you need to step back and let them handle this without criticism.

Be nice  Cool

My attitude is just fine. If one wants to bring up crap like this in a "public area" then expect criticism. Did Tac make this thread?

I dont feel a persons opinion or questions should be classed as crap and no, you didnt start the thread but I notice you were the one to use the word "crap" on more than one occasion.

Luke is trying his best to do the right thing for his squad. I certainly dont see what that has to do with anyone else other than the squads involved in the negotiations.

Thanks for your support vipor.

I’m not sure what your problem is Tac but there is no need to use bad language or be rude to people. I was simply expressing my opinion in that I think the charter needs to be revised. I did not ask for abusive comment.

Please can this topic be locked and deleted I do not wish for there to be more abusive comments to my self or anyone else for that matter. This is supposed to be a friendly community site where people can express their opinions without being insulted or abused.

Cheers Guys

I am very fond of the word crap, specially when used as the masculine form of "Stuff".
