EP league/ THORN

As some of you know Thorn has pulled out of the current league due to lack of pilots.
Since the league has only been going for 3 weeks I found it easier to just start over on the fixtures.
I have revised and posted it here in the league forums.
I know this is a inconvenience but i'm sure we will all get over it.
Sorry about thorn I hope that they will be able to regroup and built it back up.

3 weeks, thats nearly half the league....
This has happened before, you simply give all squads that were due or have already played Thorn 2 points, or any squads that have played them and got points, u strip the points.
Sorry but this seems illogical to me

Yeah a restart is not necessary. Squads have pulled out of leagues before and the points just get adjusted accordingly.
Oh and I think TKFM should have had some reasonable notice that we now have a match this weekend...against BBC tsk tsk

WASP also objects to this unnecessary change.
Once before we had to play a match minus our two best pilots and one short because of a last minute time change. We didn't complain but now the latest is for the league to be restarted with the match line up and times changed? FMJ, Slaqfu and Gari are right. There was no need for this.
I know it's a difficult job, Pop but heck..................

Hey,
Give Pop a break!!
Look at it a we had a 3 week mini league or trial run.
Either way...we are flying still and have more weeks to fly now!!
Remember those of you who wanted the league to be longer? Now it is!!
I personally am just sad that Thorn could not muster up 7 pilots.
As for restarting, seems one of the ways to sort out someone resigning.
Lets all just fly!!!

Popgun has resigned as the USAAC LM.
Under the circumstances I will have to replace him and try to keep the league running.
Since he has already made the changes for the restart on the CLP,it would take too much time to re-do the current points in such short notice and I don't want to drag this out.
So we will go with what Popgun suggested and re-start the league.
So all squads please review the new fixtures.

It seems I have been missing a bunch of action around here while I have been involved in real life. Ok from what I see popgun has resigned, league has been started over and Kid is taking over as LM for now. First I am sorry to hear about pop resigning but real life takes priority over the virtual world and he must do what he has to do,good luck m8. As for Kid taking over as LM, I know you have had real life issues lately also so I am volunteering my help to you if you need it,anytime m8.
We have far too many in this game that continually shoot their mouths off but never step forward to do the jobs that need to be done. I say put your money where your big mouth is and step forward to help. If you can't do that, then shut up.
The league being started over is really no big deal. What is a big deal is that all but one of our own squad's match times have been moved to 4 pm est. We have several pilots that are in UK or Aussie time zones and this creates a hardship for them to make it to matches. This means we will be missing some of our best pilots in matches where we need them. This also means we could find ourselves in the same position as Thorn, something I am not happy about. If we are having this problem then other squads must be also, not sure what would work here.
All the people who devote their time to ensuring that you all have a fun time in Air Attack do so voluntarily and recieve nothing in return except grief. If it wasn't for these people you all would not have this game to play because by now it would be total chaos and no one would be playing it. They bring you fun events, matches and other specials that bring us together for some awesome fun times, all on their own time, voluntarily. Next time you feel like complaining about something instead why don't you ask yourself what you can do to help make it better instead of contributing to the problem. It is no wonder that so many volunteers have walked away, after awhile they get sick of the banter, name calling and insults in return for their hard work so the best way to handle that for them is to walk away. Do any of you complainers get it yet?

I'll address the time issue for you Bonz.
I will see if we can make more of your matches at 2.30 pm EST.
Let me go over the schedule and see what can be done.
If anyone else has a time issue, please let me know ASAP so I can make the needed changes now instead of later and confusing everyone.

Sorry Skullbonz but I think you´re wrong there. There were no complaints or grief and if, they have been posted in a polite manner.
Squads and its C/o´s are wondering, that is all. And for a reason. e.g. TKFM had a BYE this week with some pilots on vacation as well and now all of sudden we get to know that we´ll have a match on sunday, just 2 days before.
So why popgun had to restart the league is still beyond me but it was his decision. A bit hasty and as others pointed out, really not necessary. Now he quits as LM and we´re wondering, whether there is a connection or not. Will we ever know ?
Of course it´s a tricky job to do at times and one can make lots of mistakes but where´s the problem to admit it and trying to improve the fixtures instead of insisting on its validation ? When you take over as LM you know in advance that it isn´t a job that comes with blowing sugar up yer arse.
Really, if you´re overly sensitive, you shouldn´t step up for a job that involves lots of inconvenient - but in most cases reasonable questions.

Be all that as it may I don't think all the work should fall on Kid who has his own problems.
Perhaps Bonz should be Event Manager (Fun and League) which I think is a logical combination.
If that is agreeable to Bonz and Kid I will undertake to help the Event Manager out in every way I can..eg. helping him and Jackal with fun event refereeing. Any suggestions, complaints and general whining from the general public will be taken in good spirit and duly considered before being accepted or ignored. I can manage that part. I like dealing with complaints

Tulla according to another post I read in the C/O section it might have been a contributing factor. But I have been wrong before, lol.
As for what shrappy said, I already volunteered my help but if it was to be included with the fun events I wouldn't have any objections.
Thanks you old fool, now I just stuck my foot in my mouth, lol.

I'm sorry Pop has quit and hope it was not contributed to by what was said above.
For my reasons, I have reservations about restarting the league as it seems unfair to to some of the lower skilled squads to have to face the top squads again. I'm sorry but I dont find those games enjoyable and always feel guilty during and after. We (Tigers) do everything we can to make the game more equal (flying with less pilots, no pinning, capping ourselves at 3km) but I still question how fun it is for them.
I have no reservations about facing WS or FD again as those are always close (if sometimes unfriendly) encounters.
A squad dropping out from a league has happened many times in the past and the solution has always been easy and trouble free (although always regrettable). This just seemed like a radical change from the norm which is why I questioned it.
As for not contributing, been there and done it. Had my contribution shot down and attacked too so not preach to me Bonz.
