Hi IPG group,

You now have the required number of pilots to become a member group of the USAAC.

You will now need to elect who will be your voice's for USAAC affairs.

Vipor will help you co-ordinate this process and report to me who the choices will be.

This might be a good place to enter nominations then. If this is the case then I'd like to nominate the following:

Voice 1 - shrapnel
Voice 2 - Popgun

In the event one of these gents do not want the position then I would nominate Vipor as a replacement to the above.

Thank you Fire but I would step aside for Vipor who has been a champion of the IPG idea during the new Charter negotiations. I think he would serve the group well.

Of course we have yet to see his campaign manifesto and how much he is prepared to offer in return for our votes.. biggrin

Hehe Shrapnel.

I in no way have a desire to campaign for something of this nature. I will let me reputation, history in AA, posts and input given in the past to vouch for my demeanor and stand on how I would represent the IPG.

I also feel it is a bit premature to vote in anyone yet as I would like to have several more members to have better reprensentation before anyone is elected to be a voice for the IPG. And from looking at the people who have signed up here, it seems that some of these will be in a USAAC squad pending approval. I want to make sure that the IPG is in compliance with plenty of non-USAAC sqd pilots before applying to the Member Body for a voice.

If this is not what the other members wish at present, then they may elct and vote in who they want in spite of my thoughts on the matter.

Cheers!

I have no argument with that. Obviously it has to be a democratic process with all the members registered at a given time having a chance to vote for the persons of their choice.

Bear in mind that, by the very nature of it's membership there will be constant changes due to people joining or leaving squads. Membership will change more frequently than it does in an established squad. At some point you will need to decide there are enough registered members to have a vote. If you wait for the membership to settle it may never happen. Everything in relation to the IPG needs to be flexible to take account of changing circumstances. The important thing is for all the pilots not represented by USAAC squads to have representatives they can rely on.

In my opinion we should wait untill having 10 pilots at least.......2 more than needed to a sqd to join USAAC......then we could elect and vote

The IPG only needs six pilots in order to be registered. You currently have seven but I would agree it is wise to wait until you have a few more to be sure you have a continuing viable membership.
