i have had a few of my pilots tell me that BBC has been contacting my pilots and asking them to join there squad.
1 of my pilots has left and went there. well

i guess if there my good pilots they will tell them were to go..................

i would never ask a pilot from another team to join my squad....never   never   never............  just not right iagree

There are some of us old school boys that would never allow a pilot from another squad to join up without speaking with the CO of that squad first.

There are some of us old school boys that would never contact a pilot from another squad inviting them to join a so called better squad etc..

Some squads have no scruples at all...
Some squads.. the ends justify the means..

It all comes down in my mind to the 'honor' level of the Co's of various squads. Sorry Farkas.. but there are some squads that would do what is happening to you.. :(

Farkus M8,

As I always say, there are 3 sides to the coin and I hope that you researched to the fullest before posting what you did.

Tbar's generalization speaks the truth and I call that human nature, I would like to hear from the authority of BBC to comment, until then keep up the good work, struggle on M8.

Hawk is absolutely right. I understand your frustration, Farkas but it might be better if you first got together with the BBC CO to thrash this out. Once things are publicly posted it can become much more difficult to reach understanding with each other.

From my own observations in the game arenas I think there are genuine attempts being made by new squads to find additional pilots. Pilots are not always flying under their squad names and they are asked if they belong to squads. Some will admit they do others will not and they can sometimes, in all inocence be asked if they want to join a squad. There are also a number of younger pilots who try to get their pals to join the same squad as themselves. They need to be educated on the need to be honest and tell their CO"s what they want to do.

Having said all that I agree with you Farkas. It is wrong for squads to deliberately poach from other squads and those squads that belong to USAAC should, I think, have a gentlemen's agreement not to do so. I would strongly recommend that CO's discuss this amongst themselves and hopefully reach agreement on that. They can then make it clear to their squad members that poaching is frowned upon.

I agree with Shrapnel about this.....It has happend to me, asking an unknown pilot if he would like to join a sqd and they answer they are in a sqd or sometimes if it's a known old pilot I check his profile if he is in a sqd and when it's confirmed that he doesn't belong to one and ask him about joining a sqd they say that they are in one.

I would like to ask all C/Os to get their pilots with profiles updated to avoid confusions.

Hmmm... I remember a pilot that was recruited into FD about a month ago.   He was flying a tag of FD_"something".  Then, about two days later I saw him flying a tag that said.... TEA_FD_"something".  We basically told him to go ahead and stick with TEA.  He is a very young pilot, and a pretty good kid as far as I'm concerned, and we didn't think he knew any better and let it go.  I think that is the same pilot that is now with BBC.  Admittedly, a few of us dragons had a laugh about it.

As far as the BBC squad trying to recruit other squad's pilots, I have no knowledge and therefore no comment.

I do know that The Fighting Dragons are recruiting.

thank you............................ pirate

well the honest truth is my x/o TEA_BONZ  has contacted the c/o of BBC,and no responce.
so yes i take this game to heart and do speak my mind just like anyone else should.

I know BBC is a great squad. I also have a good time flying with goofy, there all a great bunch of pilots.
they don't need to steal pilots, thats what I dont understand.

And for FD yes he was on my squad I should have contacted the c/o of of FD and said hay this gut wants to join our squad ..whats up with that? but i failed to do so. but i will say I DID NOT ASK HIM TO JOIN,when i know he belongs to another USAAC Squad.he came to us.

IMHO I think that this pilot needed more attention Farkas.....he's online a lot of hours, specially in the mornings.....maybe he thought it was better for him to join BBC to be trained and get a higher skill level...
It's not your fault.....it's just that if I understand him well (he's a kid) he needs to be content ........that's why he switched from FD to TEA and now BBC.

Which all goes to show that misunderstandings and even moments of thoughtlessness occur in the best of families.

I don't think the CO's of any of the USAAC squads would deliberately poach but, perhaps everyone just needs to think a little more about the niceties when they are recruiting.

I guess it's time for me to weigh in on this subject. Although I sent a message to the C/O of BBC about this matter and never recieved anything back from him I have personally talked with the pilot in subject on TS. He is just a kid and any of you out there with kids of your own know that they themselves don't truly know what they want in life. I informed this pilot of the USAAC rules on this matter and told him to make a choice. He did and he is officially now on BBC,I wish them luck with him, they will need it. As far as I am concerned this matter is closed, water under the plane so to speak. Cool
